Principles of Respiratory Medicine is a book by Dr. Zarir Udwadia which is recently published by Oxford International Press.
This is the first international textbook of respiratory medicine that gives an Indian perspective of common respiratory problems.
A) The 1st Indian patient to successfully undergo a lung transplant was a patient of Dr Z F Udwadia’s.
B) Involved in the Impulsis study (NEJM 2014) of the 1st novel ILD / IPF drug NINTEDANIB (one of only 3 Indian sites chosen). This drug reduced the decline in FVC by approximately 50% in patients on NINTEDANIB compared to placebo.
